Afshan Malik serves as Director of Development at Rabata, a global nonprofit

organization serving Muslim women and children in over 90 countries. She holds a BA in

English Language and Literature and an MA in Nonprofit Management. She has received

a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Indiana University Lilly Family School

of Philanthropy and enhanced her professional growth through further study in areas of

philanthropy, leadership, education, and nonprofit excellence through organizations

such as the Ribaat Academic Institute, the Pan-African Leadership Institute, and more.

Afshan is a published author of a young adult novel Pieces. When she is not working,

Afshan gives back to her local community in Houston, Texas by volunteering for women

and youth programs. She enjoys spending time with her husband and five children.
